BOW FRONT JEWELRY BOX

This jewelry box is made from walnut and oak. The drawers are lined with red felt. There are 2 drawers and a hinged lid. Each of the drawers have a small nook for storing items like earrings.

CHINA SIDE BOARD

When we were married my wife and I got the dining room set that my grandmother purchased in 1905. That served us well for many years but it is time for something new.
Five years ago a friend of mine had a giant hickory tree growing on a fence line in rural Vermont. He asked me if I wanted the tree. Absolutely!
I hired a local sawyer to cut the tree, it sat air drying for a number of years. My wife loved the character so I made this china closet to replace our oak side board.
I am now working on a draw leaf dining room table made from this hickory.

ABOUT ME

A Passion for Character

I am a self taught woodworker. My style is a combination of hand tool and power tools using them to my best advantage to make furniture with the best economy of motion.

My passion is wood with a lot of character. I enjoy working with wood with unique grain, character and features that results in no two pieces looking alike.

My favorite wood is cherry but I have also built extensively with oak, butternut, maple and walnut.
